works well however the design is unchanged from the unit supplied with my player some years ago. I dropped the original remote on a timber kitchen floor and it ceased functioning.

Superconnect remote.
Sadly had to replace the original one as it had been dropped too many times. But we can't live without as the manual volume knob does the "could go up could go down, totally unusable thing" so the only volume control is by remote. Reassuringly expensive for what it is, but it works fine, and postage was free and fast. It had a pull out plastic slip to hold the battery off its contacts, shame there was no battery in it, especially for the price.
